AMSTERDAM – De woningmarkt dreigt verder in het slop te raken door de kabinetscrisis. De politiek moet snel een besluit nemen over het lagere tarief van de overdrachtsbelasting.

Hiervoor pleit de Vereniging Eigen Huis (VEH) maandag. Ook moet de politiek kiezen voor een hervorming van de markt voor koop- en huurwoningen.
Volgens de VEH is het probleem rondom de overdrachtsbelasting, die tot 1 juli van 6 naar 2 procent is verlaagd, het meest accuut. Volgens de vereniging wist men in Catshuis echter al hoe de verlenging van die regeling te financieren.
“Het overleg in het Catshuis had hiervoor al een voorstel klaarliggen, inclusief de budgettaire dekking”, aldus de vereniging.
De vereniging pleit daarnaast voor een hervorming van de woningmarkt. De Nederlandse Vereniging van Makelaars (NVM), Woonbond en Aedes (de koepel van woningcorporaties) verwachten eind mei een plan voor deze hervormingen te presenteren.
